From Monday 11th August 2025, our annual Just ASK Summer Camp brought a group of young people from Dublin’s North West Inner City to the beautiful surroundings of Drewstown House in County Meath.
The Summer Camp is a much-loved highlight of our Just ASK Summer Programme, offering children the chance to swap the busy streets of the city for open fields, fresh air, and the freedom to explore nature.
Life at Drewstown House
For one unforgettable week, the children enjoyed a mix of outdoor activities designed to build confidence, spark curiosity, and create a sense of connection – both with nature and with each other. From team games on the lawn to evening campfires under the stars, the days were filled with laughter, learning, and friendship.
Two Special Day Trips
This year, the camp programme was made even more exciting with two fantastic day trips:
Navan Adventure Park – A high-energy day where the children took part in fun, action-packed activities including pedal go-karts, crazy golf, giant obstacle courses, inflatable slides, and mini-golf. The focus was on teamwork, healthy competition, and most importantly, lots of smiles.
Causey Farm – A hands-on, farmyard adventure where the group got to experience rural life up close. They rolled up their sleeves for traditional activities like bread baking, bog jumping, animal feeding, and even a tractor-trailer ride through the fields. Causey Farm was a chance to connect with Ireland’s farming heritage and enjoy a slower, simpler pace of life – and yes, there was plenty of mud involved!
